Today my thoughts have very much been with the people in Graz. Every time news like today’s comes I’m immediately transported back to March 1996.

Once again, it hit a little close to home thinking of pupils at my sister’s school in Vienna who made us these bracelets for our wedding.

Paediatric first aid training with St Andrew’s ambulance done.

Now I just need to get my first aid kit restocked to be ready for Surf Camp this summer!

So awesome to be back at Grampian Pride again this year after missing last year. Thank you Mother Nature for not raining on our parade even if you soaked us going back to the car 🤣

And the holiday response is on!
It’s been a rollercoaster year filled with ups and downs - seriously ill family members, getting married, a husband diagnosed with diabetes, supporting a parent moving into a care home permanently.

Time for the tasks that got set aside before Christmas Eve!

Every year, when I worked for charities, I would create a spreadsheet or Word document of awareness days and events happening around the UK for my social media content planning.

This year, I decided to create a fancier version on Canva. It's available to buy here: buymeacoffee.com/lauraannecol...

I had fun quickly creating some social media images for our community council to introduce the names of our push gritters that are getting a lot of mileage this week!

I hope the pupils who participated in the competition get to see them out and about this year. My fave is 'Annie Sledox'.

Working from home, but also getting sent pictures from my fellow community councillors of our hand gritters out and about in a snowy Stockethill! There are five of them, all named through a competition we organised at a local primary school last December.

I loved learning languages as a kid, and always got frustrated at how they taught them in high school. So getting back into Duolingo has been fun even if it’s harder to do now.
