but also in part i think (from experience) that some academics, having been 'raised' in a scholarly sense with this assumption, simply do not consider even the possibility of the 'general public' having a desire to read their work

i'm starting to think heterosexuality and patriarchal masculinity are prisons. has anyone noticed this before? i'm thinking it might be coercive and extremely unwell how boys are raised, especially when they're not actually boys. just an idle thought that i am having for the first time.

i have been, in my view, lucky: my endo is largely hands-off, only moderately liable to underdose me, and receptive to my requests – but i only have those because from the start i have placed more faith in other trans women than in her

because the job offers them the opportunity to act in such a way, and thus the people predisposed to the behaviour seek out the job
