Hi! I’m Lacey ❤️
A street photographer, potter, and dabbler in all things arts & crafts. Originally from Oregon, but I have lived in Panama for the last 3.5 years.
I have a website for my photography that is constantly half finished: lacey-monroe.com
Someday I’ll actually add text. Maybe.

Although I no longer live in the US & have no plans to return, I’m forever an American. And my home country is STRESSING me out. Every day brings some fresh new hell. It’s hard to stay hopeful, but every small action counts: donate, call reps, check on friends…

Only a few more weeks until I’m heading back to Mexico and I can’t wait. This photo is from 2023 in Uayma (in the Yucatán). Mexico is so large and diverse and I want to see alllll the places. This time I’m heading to Oaxaca and I am very excited about the *food* (along with everything else).

Also, here I am on Bluesky! Let’s see how it goes here. It will take some getting used to the 300 character limit. Guess this not the platform for rambling on and on. Usually my text is either less than 50 characters or more than 500. There is no in between 😅

Currently in the process of narrowing down to 30 photos to bring to @laluzworkshops.bsky.social in Oaxaca next month. I originally had photos from the US, Mexico, & Colombia in the mix as well, but decided to just focus on Panama. My hope is that the 30 will give a feel for life in Panama.
