I've negotiated many "deals" in my time. Most of the work is done well before you show up for the final meeting. I'm talking somewhere in the order of between 85 to 100% of the "deal".

He is someone that a progressive centrist like myself can understand. He's a firebrand for doing the right thing! He brings a needed perspective to MSNBC that I have really enjoyed seeing over the last few years.
