As far as I’ve seen, these law suits aren’t going anywhere. People are suing.

Not sure I have the energy. Putting most of any extra energy into math education efforts so the next generation can deal with what is coming

Thinking of discount rates and root causes rather than symptoms. Addressing climate change and sustainability might lead to larger inflation in the short run but the long term forecasts of food prices without better management of the global climate situation are pretty concerning.

Reminds me that some kids don’t know that French fries comes from potatoes. Are weather apps and other users publicizing that his is where they get the data? didn’t know what they did until late last year when I was crediting something from NOAA to NASA and was corrected by a NOAA employee

This is a small puzzle piece but I’m wondering why people who are ultimately harmed aren’t more responsive in other ways. What’s stopping people, countries and institutions from transitioning? What are we doing to remove those barriers?

For my own part, I’ve forayed into nonprofit to make a dent in the education crisis in Jamaica (1/3 if students enter high school not reading etc). Much is known about things not to do and misaligned incentives and resources and in practice bad continues with little looking like it will change.

Drawing what is likely a completely inappropriate line from shell creation… and wondering actually about the opposite.

Thank you for sharing. Very enlightening. Made me wonder what oysters do in this regard. Are oysters good or bad for decarbonization? Not that we want to reduce oysters if they are bad. Big fan of the billion oysters project and full disclosure still driving a 2003 ICE vehicle.
