2020 and 2021 were quite awful as well. In the 2010s, there were some nice editions (2015, 2016, 2018) but Vuelta was better in my opinion. I agree that the Tour was worse, in spite of some horrible Giro editions e.g 2012.

There's always a lot of hope with chaos at Giro, but it is usually the most boring grand tour. Imho.

Let's see. I think the finale will be difficult to control after such a demanding stage. There will be very strong riders either in the breakaway or jumping in the cat 2 climb.

Not sure about SKA and Vacek. I don't think Ciccone would work a lot. It may be down to Verona and Konrad. But indeed, if it's raced Hard maybe Mads himself cannot survive. Not impossible, bur it will be hard today.

Indeed. I don't think Mads can win from the break. A reduced bunch sprint will be complicated as well. There's every chance we have a strong breakaway and even if we dont, Lidl will have few domestiques to control the last 40 km. That's provided that Mads can survive the cat 2 climb.
