Eurovision mainly.

Formerly @yoho_ben on Twitter, but Bluesky doesn’t let you have _ so now I use the name of every other one of my social medias.
Considering these are the running orders of the winners for the past 10+ years, I wouldn’t be surprised.

2023 and 2024 are the only ones without a gold duel.

@eurovangelistspod.bsky.social As you guys did both an episode on Black contestants at Eurovision, and a ranking of all winners of the 2000s, and the fact that you will probably talk about the NFs that occurred this weekend on the upcoming show, this might be something that you’d want to know about.

Every single club at my uni partners with them for fundraisers, so I’ve definitely had my fair share of them.

I’m feeling optimistic with 39 (38 original countries of 2025 + Romania 🇷🇴), but who knows?

With the drama that came from both Montenegro and Moldova, who knows if a year will be able to fix their issues.

This was also the first year where the artists didn’t have to find their participation, and instead it was the broadcaster.

I wonder, if it continued as normal with funding, would they still have withdrawn?

RSD being Registered Super Danie? Sorry, don’t know what that acronym stands for, but that scenario sounds really funny.

Can you reply with an emoji that has the colour yellow in it if I got it correct? (Made a comment under this thread)

Someone on X made a good guess: Calum Scott

1988: SCOTT Fitzgerald
Two artists releases: DJ and featuring singer
Two songs over 100M: Only has 2 songs (by himself) that are over 100M streams

If it’s true, this would be the first time the UK has sent back-to-back LGBT+ acts

Ooh yay, someone else who likes Frants and Stereo Terror!

No problem! I look forward to hearing more about the national finals season from some fellow North American Eurofans. Not (currently) many North Americans who talk about it regularly.

Ooooh do share

Here is a screenshot from the Wikipedia page (where I found it out from), but long story short: The dictator was a dictator, and murdered most of the organizers of the event.

But also, the winner of that event was from Shkodër (same place as this year’s winners), so that’s cool!

Amazing episode! I didn’t realize the historical (and personal) context between much of the entries, so very nice to learn.

I also like how you carefully avoided what happened at FiK 11 in your “history of FiK” section.

It’s the Aussie-Cypriot Silia Kapsis, with her song “Liar”

How many of the entries have connections to another song in the selection?
