![This project will be the last vibe-coded prototype that I will vibe-code into production. I will not spend another 48 weekend hours a month arguing with a large language model to transform another large language model's spaghetti code into something vaguely useful, especially when I am also charged with keeping the data housed in that AI-generated spaghetti code safe from intruders: something that I, as one with zero understanding of the codebase, fundamentally cannot do.
In its most basic sense, the issue comes down to the sentence: "do [x]". I can't do [x], because our app is written in Typescript and React, languages that, as a Python developer, I've never understood, nor needed to understand. So in order to "do [x]", I must politely - or aggressively, even - implore a large language model to "do [x]". Then, I must sit there for 3-10 minutes, hoping that the LLM a) knows how to do [x]; b) successfully does [x]; and c) does [x] without also breaking functionality [1:x-1]. (a) is generally guaranteed, but (b) and (c) are emphatically not.
