I have the fondest memories of that area! My grandmother used to take us to Funston to watch the hang gliders, down to Ocean Beach for sand dollars, up to Musee Mechanique in The Cliff House, and then let us scrabble around the ruins of Sutro. yes! like when brian was shouting about how he didn’t have a right to speak on stolen ground and carried on anyway. like it’s sweet that he’s aware and trying, and also funny that he’s still a cis white male holding the mic. it’s not outright dismissive, just a chuckle at the hypocrisy.

it was definitely teasing approaching mocking, but i didn’t feel like i was witnessing a lack of love for humanity, just an equal opportunity burn on society and those who manipulate us, centered at a very painful and confusing point in time that’s hard to look back at and examine objectively.
