It depends on how fast you go through toner as replacements can be as expensive as ink. Can't hurt to get a quote, you don't have to get a huge copier to have a contact printer, my fleet is Xerox C7000s with an extra tray & stand and the minimum is like $70 a month with fractions of a cent per page.

As someone who has to deal with a fleet of laser printers, I would actually recommend at least looking into companies that lease them with a per impression charge. Depending on the load you have sometimes it can be just as cheap as owning and repair costs are covered in the contact cost.

With the recall, the real question is are they going to clearly mark these so down the line there will be a way to tell the difference.
