So fear of personal obscurity helped him overcome his fear of living in a country run by Farage….

To be fair if we still had a Tory government we’d probably be joining in…

This was what the Conservative Party use to be like, and now there is Robert Jenrick. Not saying that I would have particularly agreed with Hesletine, but basically decent people with principles.

I’m so sorry you have to put up with his nonsense!

If they treat their staff anything like their customers I can 100% sympathise with them striking!

Tbh the majority of the good people of Kent did vote for this. I can only assume it’s what they wanted (sadly the rest of us just have to put up with the idiots)

They have to sort out the boats because people are dying this way, it really has almost no effect on immigration, it’s just a headline winner. Legal routes must be provided. Then sort out the asylum process. It’s a political choice that it takes so long.

It’s just so stupid, I wonder how many votes Labour list today, by trying to chase these horrible ideas. Mine for sure.
May 12, 2025 at 7:29 PM
Farage laughing in the background… makes me feel sick. Definitely voting for the people who stand up to this nonsense.
May 12, 2025 at 7:21 PM
It’s time for everyone to vote Lib Dem.
May 12, 2025 at 7:18 PM
Oh gosh does that mean more Reform type policies…. :-(
May 3, 2025 at 10:40 AM
Labour actually need to go further & instead of trying to be Reform-lite, set themselves up against Reform. The country is desperate for a light to be shone on the unpleasantness behind reform. Let’s start building towards rejoining EU, and try & undo the devastating consequences of Nigel Farage.
May 3, 2025 at 8:01 AM
However, you could use your platform to start correctly referring to reform as a Fascist party, or at the very best far right popularist. Not labelling their ideology properly has allow them to become mainstream.

Pretty sure there is something in the bible about this. Beware of false prophets…

Boeing was already in trouble, as airbuses are just so much better these days. Fear it’s the end, or they will just push out super unsafe aeroplanes for domestic US customers….
April 19, 2025 at 7:58 AM
Is this a genuine account (the White House?)… this is shocking. Aside from the contempt of court, and lack of humanity, just so childish. What has happened to your country?

The fact that there are stocks on prison

It’s good to hear that there is some resistance happening, and hopefully it is just the beginning!
March 22, 2025 at 9:06 AM
It’s still utterly amazes me how little resistance there is. The impression from outside is that the average American is fine with all this possibly even pleased. It’s pretty incomprehensible from here in Europe.
March 22, 2025 at 7:59 AM
They may as well just cancel all planes from Europe, not many people here who haven’t expressed a negative view of Trump on social media!
March 20, 2025 at 7:23 AM
And Russia is just fine!… nasty is not the adjective that immediately jumps to mind when thinking of Canada!
March 19, 2025 at 11:32 AM
I’m curious as to why there is basically no coverage of this story on UK mainstream media… isn’t this like end of rule of law in US type stuff….
March 18, 2025 at 9:24 AM
Hope the Americans are enjoying their police state!
