Think they're trying to say ppl deserve to be rehabilitated instead of incarcerated but in the worse choice of words possible.
And while that helps in the long run, ppl aren't obligated to forgive them for what they've done then and now (assuming they have hurt those around them)

No hate to Davis but he isn't a gotcha for ppl having a visible outrage agaisnt nazis and white supremacists. Not everyone can tolerate them at that lvl especially when they've been accounted for years of systematic and prejudiced oppression
