I just spent $580 on new fire boots that won’t arrive for 4.5 - 8.5 MONTHS. Hopefully I’ll get them before fire season ends! If not, or they don’t fit upon arrival, I will be crashing out.

My relationship ended suddenly last night and I am very, very sad. But I did see a rainbow and a box turtle today. I’ve never seen a box turtle at the barn before and it was right at the front gate. I studied eastern box turtles in undergrad. These are both very good omens in my book.

For the first time in my life, I heard someone say “I hate wildlife” straight up. I know some people are not going to enjoy the burdens of outdoors or animals they consider pests, but to hear someone confidently clarifying they hate wildlife like that was hard to hear.
