80 years ago, today my beloved Dad, Bill Batty USMC Gunnery Sergeant landed on Iwo Jima. He led two halftrack teams who helped seize and secure the airfield on Iwo. His courage enabled me to play baseball in post war America. Never forget the sacrifice he made. Never let tyranny win. Peace.

My Grandparents Liam and MaryEllen. Liam fought @ Battle of the Argonne Forest. He returned home and created community as a leader @ a textile mill. My Grandma raised a family of faithful souls. Today our nation removed the USAID Logo in DC. Once we were a caring nation. Can this happen today ?

Camino Portuguese. Magical. I walked in gratitude for family, friends, pilgrims and this life journey which has meant joy, loss, love, loneliness, health, illness, hope, fear. I walked with this next mantra in my mind, "Sempre Adelante/Always Forward". America, please take a loving path forward.

My beloved parents. Bill Batty USMC Iwo Jima Hero. Ellen Boyle Batty a Hero in her own right. She worked making barrage balloons for the war effort in Europe. Greatest Generation. Strong faith filled Patriots. Loved and lived for God, Family and Country. They fought for community.
Can we do that ?

My two Grandpa's. On the left WEGBatty 3. On the right Liam Boyle. WBatty was a Union Leader. LBoyle was a Textile Mill Administrator. Both loved their communities and employees. Both sought social justice in the Depression era. I love them for that. Can we return to a nation that seeks justice ?

Border Collies are amazing. This is Tag. He was as fast as a bullet. Named after Taglione, the Italian architect who created Ducati motorcycles. FYI- Taglione had red hair too.
