Today’s update:

Our snowfall measured 9in pretty consistently throughout the yard

9 inches of snow across our stupidly large driveway means Hubs and I shoved off and on for about five hours and just barely finished what was necessary before the sun set

It continued finely snowing basically day. I have not ventured into the white abyss.

My work decided to close tomorrow by mid evening, and normally they make their decisions at the last minute in the morning. That should tell you something

Last night before bed, things were basically the same as the early evening, just a dusting

This morning… heyooo

My poor Gertrude is gonna vanish under all that white lol

It’s 6:30pm. The snow has started to stick, mostly to the sidewalk. The flakes are small and icy, it sounds almost like a gentle rain out there.

Also my bread is fabulous. I made grilled cheese with it

It’s 10:30am. The snow storm warning technically started at 10, but I don’t expect anything till the late afternoon/evening and the bulk of it tomorrow.

Today I’m gonna bake sandwich bread

It was made explicitly for my husband. He’s played this dozens of times, it’s his comfort game

I even know the bad guy’s name offhand because hubs’ HBO profile is named after him
