Xbox elite is the far less durable then the base line xbox wireless controller.
New colors wont help it the handles fell apart, paddles after a yer of use are choppy, the rubber on handles falls apart. Generally the same issue I had on xbox Elite Gen 1 still occur on the gen 2 xbox elite.
