The fund's founders provided abortion care, trained residents and acted as plaintiffs in Kentucky cases to challenge restrictive legislation. We are working everyday to restore access and to highlight medical experts voices on the harms to public health.

ABORTION BANS THREATEN OUR HEALTH AND FUTURE. Whitney, a mom of 3 from KY, faced a pregnancy that could kill her. Her doctor couldn’t help until she became critically ill under KY law. She traveled out of state for care: “If I were to die, I wouldn’t want to leave my kids alone.”

Recently due to medical reasons, at 24 weeks, a KY family had to search for care out of the state to end a much-wanted IVF pregnancy—their last embryo—because of KY’s abortion bans. This is the cruel reality of politicians interfering in private health decisions. No one should endure this.

A Kentuckian's abortion story: Stacy, a KY mom of 3, learned her pregnancy tested positive for trisomy 21. Abortion bans forced her to travel out of state alone—without needed pain relief. The cost, forced her family to sell equipment. No one should face these barriers to care.

Gemma’s Story (KY): Pregnant despite Plan B, a college student had to travel of of state for an abortion, working extra shifts to pay for it. KY’s ban doesn't stop abortions - it just makes them harder & riskier. Without access, she says she might have ended her life.

A new Tennessee law gives doctors the right to deny care based on personal beliefs. Now, an unmarried pregnant woman - that has been with her partner for 15 years and they have a 13 year old child - has been denied prenatal care. The real impact of so-called "conscience" laws.

In 2025, restrictive abortion laws made the unimaginable real: a dead Black woman was forced to carry a pregnancy — in a state where Black women were once bought, sold, and bred.
Keep fighting for your rights and humanity.

Despite Kentucky politicians claims that HB90 will help clarify when doctors can provide emergency abortion care, the reality is it remains dangerous and life-threatening to be pregnant in Kentucky. Politicians have no business in our doctors offices.
