I make things; and I try to make things better. Anifaciest AF.
To Paint or Not to Paint?
Nearly all my displays are natural wood, which creates a nice backdrop for the bright pops of color in my work.

The one and only exception is the white mannequin for my wearable art. I am thinking of painting her brown to match the other displays, what do you think?

Pulled my market booth out and set it up to asses how much jiggery-pokery it is going to need. Saturday Market opens in 8 weeks, and let’s just say I’ve got my work cut out for me!

The word "courage" comes from the Latin word "cuer" meaning "heart".
When it first came into the English language, it originally meant: 'to speak your mind from your heart'.
My hope for you, dear one, is that you find the heart to speak up, even if your voice shakes.

There is this pressure on artists to "niche down" to one specific sub-category of one medium. I've never seen the wisdom in that convention. Currently my art practice includes both fiber art (e.g. these felt flowers) and painting with mica paints and coffee. I think they compliment each other.

I suppose an introduction is in order:
I am artist and story teller, based near where the McKenzie meets the Willamette; Inspired by the wilderness that surrounds me, I seek to translate that beauty into forms that connect with the human experience. I also seek to subvert the dominant paradigm.
