Kung Fu Hustle (2004)

I'm not watching that Free Birds shit this Thanksgiving, so I decided to watch this again since it was free on Youtube. Still Stephen Chow's best movie

I don't know how, but I managed to score two days off this week, meaning I don't have to work the day before Thanksgiving

Labyrinth (1986)

I love how David Bowie in this movie is specifically an 80s bishounen man. Still an childhood favorite of mine and a very well crafted fantasy movie from Jim Henson

Frankenstein (2025)

Ended my birthday off by watching Del Toro's latest film and man, this is so far my favorite adaptation of the story yet. Love whenever he explores body horror because he really nailed it here. Highly recommend

Rango (2011)

This is still the best movie Nick has ever produced, and it's a shame they haven't made anything like this ever again. Still one of my favorite Western films next to Blazing Saddles

The reason I haven't deleted the Twitter app yet is because every once in a while, I still get gems like this

Roujin Z (1991)

It been a while since I watched an anime movie. An gorgeous underappreciated film from the minds of Kitakubo and Otomo. Truly shows that no matter how advanced technology and AI can get, you still need a human heart to have compassion for those in need of help

Also, it gave us some of the hardest renders of Shadow

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016)

The better movie in the duology. Still not a great movie and got some of the same problems, but it felt more like it understood what it was trying to be. Love Bebop & Rocksteady here. This has the most boring Casey, though. They did him dirty

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)

In a much better mood thanks to a good friend for helping me with my situation, so I felt like doing a double feature tonight. While this is not a great TMNT movie, it is at least an alright if not fine movie. Definitely one of Bay's least offensive adaptations

Mai Yamane: Sorry (1981)

It's a Mai Yamane type of night. Another banger of an album that got a more upbeat vibe to it. Short, but I still highly recommend it

But I'm a Cheerleader (1999)

Should have watched this during Pride Month, but whatever. Campy and goofy as hell, but genuinely a great queer movie that is still relevant today. If there is a movie that is both subtle and unsubtle as fuck about finding your true self, this is the right movie for you

Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Musical Adventure (1977)

Felt strangely nostalgic for this all of a sudden. Still a very cozy and warm feeling movie that can put me in a good mood no matter what. It's nonsensical, but that's what makes it so fun, along with the amazing animation

Weapons (2025)

Ending Halloween just like I started it: watching a movie I have never seen before til now. I have heard a lot of hype for this, and holy shit, it did not disappoint. This was a wild ass ride from start to finish. I'm glad I went into this blind

Elvira's Haunted Hills (2002)

While I wouldn't say this is better than the first movie, this is a funny ass follow up at least where they just go more campy and horny as hell. This shit gives off Rocky and Bullwinkle movie vibes (positive)

Elvira: Mistress of the Dark (1988)

This movie is surprisingly relevant with the idea of a very puritan town being afraid of a gothic bad bitch. A very over the top and very stupid comedy that perfectly represents Elvira in all her glory and what is there not to love about it. We stan an icon

Hellraiser (1987)

The film that put Clive Barker on the map, and it is one hell of a movie. Over the top gore, fun cast, and practical effects/designs that still look impressive. An absolute horror classic

Smile (2022)

Still my favorite modern horror movie. Starts out slow and unnerving the devolves into absolute insanity. That twist ending still gets me. Should watch the sequel someday

Rob Zombie: Hellbilly Deluxe (1998)

It pretty much becomes a tradition for me to listen to this album every Halloween and it never gets old

Puppet Master (1989)

This movie is so funny to me because while I could argue it got some good atmosphere to work with the idea of killer puppets, I cannot take this seriously when these little shits are so damn small that I could easily punt or kick them and walk out of the hotel
