I do think in most aspects SE did Eden justice with this ultimate raid, but the insane amount of backpedaling on difficulty and failure penalty after TOP makes this feel more like a svg+ than an actual ulti. I think I'll be spending more time in EW ultis than FRU this xpac, and that's disappointing

Part of my prog issues this fight was partly because I was so bored as a tank in the first half of the fight. I'd frequently zone out - spamming aoe combos to guild gauge in every single phase. 2 out of my 3 clears so far have not even had a final phase dps lb with final phase deaths

I really enjoyed the uptime/downtime duration choices, and felt that a harder dps check could have made rotational optimization enjoyable for the first time since ShB.
The point of Damage Down for failure is to prevent u from meeting the check. If u still meet the check, you aren't being penalized.
