This fluorescent orange, pink, and spooky blue-green color palette might be my favorite??

Same with this; love the colors and composition but I'm not pleased with the result. It's unfinished, and I'm so excited to get better at gouache via redoing these.

Especially on the ones like these, where I loved the shape/colors/outlines of the original photos but the quality of the pictures weren't very good.

One of the things I'm most excited to pivot to is turning my earlier (like 2019) space collages into gouache paintings. :O

One day I'll be brave and learn oil paints but I'm afraid of accidentally setting things on fire aaaaaaand also how expensive paint is.

As juicy and yummy as the really vivid color palettes are, I'm really into the more muted, earthy tones lately and it's likely the remainder of the series will have a more somber palette. Perhaps that's also just because it's wintertime, who can say.

I ended up liking the glowy, soft, random, overlaid effect of people's unmarked faces all coalescing and melting together, so I ran with it. These make me DELIRIOUSLY happy and I'm so excited to have a cohesive body of work that can be displayed all at once.

These collages were initially, like with the very first one, an attempt to digitally recreate the "Transparencies" paintings by Francis Picabia. Originally I thought I would use liquid eyeliner to draw contours on the models' faces, so it would have an illustrative quality, but then (c)

And now I show you my current projeeectssss. I am so excited to do the last of these photo shoots/collages and then have a very casual, very small, but my FIRST EVER lil gallery showing. 💚

Something I used to do a lot during art blocks was make grotesque fan art of my favorite things; I think I'd like to do more of that in the future.

I really can't tell you how much I love making these weird collages with scraps from other photo shoots. 😭

I am getting back to the point of art being to DELIGHT myself with whatever weird random crap I want to make.

My brief foray into lost wax casting. It was super fun but I'm afraid of fire and probably won't play with it again until I can take another class/use a maker's space.

Ugly SpongeBob drawings are an artblock standby.

For a couple years I was making presents/commissions for friends of themselves as animal gods/goddesses. Was as much a composition exercise as it was the joy of gift-giving.

Hhhhh I'm so excited to do more art! I haven't drawn/painted in a verrrrry long time.

Horses are hard to draw and therefore I make them as ugly as possible so I don't hurt my own feelings when they look bad.

REALLY old, some from 2011. I have a bunch of these older doodles that I want to revamp once I get back into the habit of painting.

One of my all-time faves; I miss doing weird photography shoots and mashups, hopefully I'll find time (and money and space) for them in the new year.❤️
