At Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX starting in 1874 Joseph Brown Suttles graduated with honors in 1878. In 1880, he was admitted to the bar at Bryan, the same year he got married. He opened up a law practice in Cameron Parish, LA, had two kids, but died in 1888 at age 30 of a lung ailment

Caroline “Lina” Bunte Kohlenberg (1834-1921) of New Braunfels, TX with her husband, Heinrich Kohlenberg (1828-1890). Lina sailed to America with seven members of the Bunte family of Brunswick, Germany on Nov 11, 1853 onboard the ship “SUWA” out of Bremerhaven, arriving in Galveston on Dec 23, 1853.

An undated tintype of Simeon Jasper Crews of Co. F, 7th Texas Cavalry Regiment, with cut down saber and revolver. Simeon was born in 1846 and died in 1919. He is buried in the Myrtle Springs Cemetery in Cherokee County.
