Today in Mn House GOP nonsense: Rep Murphy introduced HF1852 which restricts solar (just solar) from being built within 3/4 mile of any Minnesota Wildlife Management Area, state or county park. This is 3rd house file by GOP in past six weeks that specifically targets solar energy in Minnesota. 🤔

If you… (A) feel dismayed aboutt climate change and what’s being done to fight it or (B) don’t feel knowledgeable about the subject, this video is a good introduction considering how short it is. Spoiler: It is optimistic but also realistic. Give it a watch. youtu.be/h1jOqyjcO4g?...
How much progress have we made on climate change?

JUST IN: A judge has enjoined President Trump's effort to block federal funds from going toward grant recipients who engage in DEI practices.

The judge says the orgs are likely to succeed on claims that this is viewpoint discrimination, among other issues

Minnesota Representative Dave Baker said today “I don’t want to see one lost job from a bill I touched.” He said this after introducing a bill he *authored* that risks 5,000+ clean energy jobs in Minnesota, most of which are blue collar. The gulf between words and deeds are galactic in scale.

Some real heros are currently testifying against HF845 right now in the MN House Energy and Finance committee.

As I watch a total dissolvement of the federal workforce, and pro-fossil fuel legislation being introduced in Minnesota’s Congress, and decent, common sense initiatives roll back in private businesses, one idiom echos in my mind: If you are not at the table, you are on the menu.

This is what we in the industry call “illegal”.

EPA cuts off IRA solar money already under contract
Recipients of the $7 billion Solar For All program were locked out of an online portal that’s used to distribute federal funding.

A reminder that Washington, under democratic leadership, passed bills like the IRA knowing it would benefit Republican districts 5x more than Dems. Conversely, today proves that under GOP rule, the administration is comfortable killing 5 conservatives if that’s the cost to kill one liberal.

Today’s federal funding freeze creates THOUSANDS of contract law violations with devastating effects on farmers. With high costs, thin margins, a farmer making investments with USDA grants that don’t materialize are now trapped. INSANE incompetence from the current administration.

Not shocked but heartbroken by the energy executive order: It kills efforts to measure/improve energy & prioritizes outdated, inefficient, worst-polluting forms of energy gen. It surrenders whole industries to China, makes US health worse, and heaps more doom onto our children, grandchildren.

When a president signs an executive order that violates the constitution, he is unambiguously violating both established law as well as the social contract underpinning civil society. So, Cause, please meet Effect.

Finished Squid Game Season 2. Themes of class consciousness aside (👍), if it’s true that the character Cho Hyun-ju was a tribute to real life Byun Hui-su, I have to say the writers did something amazing. Truly.

The United States is now producing enough domestic solar to cover nearly all annual deployment. That's what policy can do, folks! And a majority of these jobs are in Republican districts.

“The DOJ ran out of time”
There is no way to spin it. It's a dark day for justice.

Even if this DOJ had somehow ignored its own policy and the resultant constitutional chaos by continuing its prosecution of a now elected President, his incoming AG would have immediately dropped all charges.

The DOJ ran out of time.
