Which models are the best rn for gaming computers? Last I checked was a while ago and it was very small llama models

I thought it would be more robots less people running out there with them

Your GPS point is very fitting here. I find my problem solving skills headed in the same direction.

At times I don’t even try to figure it out myself and just let the ChatGPT take me there.

Realized I was doing this so I started to cut back. Very tempting as my brain takes least effort path

I wonder if it’s possible to use these tools and maintain or even expand cognitive function.

I totally have had the experience of using ChatGPT to much and becoming reliant. But on the other hand it’s been useful.. often.

Very fine line

Which ones?
April 2, 2025 at 4:59 PM
Source? LLMs I have used are still on the whole bad at math when it comes to applications
April 2, 2025 at 2:20 PM
Bad take. LLMs are terrible engineers

Bad take
March 30, 2025 at 1:17 AM
This is a good take
March 12, 2025 at 4:04 PM
Debatable. LLMS have a large breath of knowledge, but lack expertise
March 10, 2025 at 3:02 AM
I wouldn’t go that far yet. It has not been adopted by the masses, not effective propaganda yet. Also there is no single controlling party / mechanism that I have seen controlling narrative via “AI”
March 9, 2025 at 11:02 PM
It will be really scary when it gains perception. However I think we are far away from that

Why should the US government buy bitcoin?
March 8, 2025 at 4:24 AM
Current LLMshave no perception of reality, and don’t think in the way we do. They have a hard time with big picture thinking.

Useful tool for sure, but they can definitely not replace humans right now.
March 7, 2025 at 4:29 AM
I don’t see it as automating. It’s a tool to improve their ability. Just like any other machine.

I disagree. Sometimes education is boring because it’s abstract from the real world. In engineering, my field, it’s typical that classes are structured in ways that have students solving problems that are not attached to anything real. For example, calculus is often taught disconnected. AI can help
March 4, 2025 at 12:31 AM
Yes, but educators are not always skilled enough to keep students interested. That’s where AI can come in and help
March 3, 2025 at 2:54 PM
Solving problems is indeed education, no?
March 2, 2025 at 6:33 PM
LLMs can help educators create problems that student find interesting, more than textbook questions. I’ve got some examples if you’d like to see
March 2, 2025 at 5:16 AM
But could you do it with your eyes closed and this thing? Robots only rely on vision and limited tactile feedback
February 28, 2025 at 3:19 PM
Do you think students who were inclined to cheat prior to AI will continue to cheat, and students who are in higher education to learn, will actually learn?

IMO this is what is happening. Some students will wise up about the proper use of these tools.
February 24, 2025 at 4:21 AM
Wow I will have to read more in depth, but this seems pretty conclusive. Do you think that AI can be applied in any useful way? IMO its a great way to access information quickly that you may not understand well. With the caveat being that you need to digest, validate and apply it to cement in brain

What's the worst thing about Trump and or Musk in your opinion?
February 24, 2025 at 3:36 AM
Do you have a link to a source for the reduced critical thinking part?
February 24, 2025 at 3:34 AM
I think this is true. However, there can be a balance of using AI as a tool for accessing information that may be not easily accessible- democratizing information accessibility. However this can only be true if the data sets used to train are validated for accuracy and without bias.
