Following me is a crime against yourself and god.

Another mediocre cis-dude, he/him. 41 years old.
I am legitimately thrilled. I thought political violence would win, that malfeasance and bad faith governance would win, that the cities would be further disenfranchised, again. But no! Even if this wasn't some line in the sand, I'll be grateful for every eddy against the riptide.

Ho-ly shit. I was completely wrong about Indiana Republicans. 19-31! I really expected them to go for it. Maybe we're not so cooked after all.

Why are we memeing with such aggression so early in the morning? This isn't nice at all. This is, like, 272 shy of nice.

It feels significantly worse than misfortune, it feels like conspiracy engaging with rare opportunity, that our tech for faking video is ramping up as the baby boomers grapple with senility.

Well, now, that's just wishful thinking.

She's quote-dunking biscuits and we're quote-dunking her. Is it of inherently nobler nature to draw fences around behaviors in meta-commentary rather than direct commentary?

Yes, her grievances are petty and calculated to win attention from the worst people alive. Why refute instead of ignore them?

If she took the picture in the store, she couldn't show off her renovations and really stick it to those other outrage grifter bitches who are after her marks.

She can also be very large, say, 6'3", but only if she has an optional smol mode.

Now that we've jumped headfirst into an industrial vat of the stuff, how does the calculus change? I see Rheinmetall is holding pretty steady at +185% yoy.

The Lucent section was such a delight. It's been ages since I thought about how they suckered me for twenty dollars. Selected their stock for a class project when I was eleven, and my dad actually bought one share.

Yeah, that happens a lot. Thanks for the update!

Enumerating common fallacies may be a form of self-awareness, but it's impersonal and blameless. Isn't it more appealing to avoid the necessity of self-awareness by subsuming the self into the algorithm?

100%. My greatest enemies as a software developer are pride, indolence, and procrastination. What yud offers is the dream of overcoming these not through willpower, but procedure. "Shut up and multiply," as the mantra of someone who can switch between thinking fast and thinking slow at will.
December 9, 2025 at 1:44 AM
OK! If that's your impression, I understand. For what little it's worth, with nothing but gratitude for your hard work and your stated goals, I agreed with the original criticism. The sarcastic mantra wears thin quickly.
December 9, 2025 at 12:37 AM
Yeah, of course! I'm just surprised at the quote-dunk. He didn't like the thing, and he said so in a reply, which could have gone ignored. I don't understand why you're promoting the fact you're ignoring him, unless it's to dissuade any further attempts of criticism.
December 9, 2025 at 12:19 AM
Do you want feedback of any kind? If not, why are replies enabled?
December 9, 2025 at 12:12 AM
Yeah, the fact that the models can't manage more than two seconds of continuity is going to be a Tell, and probably for much longer than people expect.

For this to happen, we will need to actually hold wealthy men accountable for their actions here in the States. I'm not optimistic.

The only good news is that China is helping subvert Russian oil influence with cheap electrification. That's a particularly thorny obstacle to a truly independent EU.

It's gone and it isn't coming back. We're never going to be in the same position again, having walked out of a calamitous world conflict smelling like roses, re-industrializing the rest of the world on our terms. We can only hope to fade into irrelevance with greater grace than the UK.
