Sharing these from X... but markings on bullet castings is a huge clue to which group the assassin associated himself with. They're all subtle Groypers references.

Ben Noll's analysis on humidity trends seems to back up my own personal observations that our North Carolina summers are now significantly more humid than even 15 years ago. #NCwx

For August, there's a huge area of 3-4°F below normal for *AVERAGE* temperature from Alabama to New Jersey. It's quite impressive.
August 30, 2025 at 10:23 PM
August has been historically cool for high temperatures across the Southeast. First half was mostly due to rainy events and then we got a few major cold fronts right after that. Mostly lucky timing to keep high temperatures down. #NCwx #SCwx #VAwx #GAwx

Huge Blue Ridge Parkway milestone post #Helene. BRP is once again fully open and restored between Asheville and Great Smoky Mountains NP. It's a major tourism boost for WNC with the fall foliage season coming up. #NCwx

Latest flight data is supportive of keeping it at 155 mph Category 4... for now. Still need a tiny bit more to get a Category 5. #Erin

Elon Musk-era X peaked here. It's over.

This image by @appodlachia.com nailed it regarding what happened in eastern Kentucky last night. #KYwx

I use SERCC products so often. I hate you so much, DOGE.

My wife is in Asheville for a conference and she had the audacity to tell me that she's going to Rocky's 🤣 (cc: @jjrennie.bsky.social)

You can't really prep a high risk area better than this for a major regional tornado outbreak.
April 2, 2025 at 6:13 PM
With warm sector clearing out and baking in the heat... and a prefrontal boundary over Arkansas... you can see why SPC issued the high risk for that area. #ARwx #KYwx #TNwx #MSwx
April 2, 2025 at 6:10 PM
A boundary is becoming prominent on satellite. Likely that our prefrontal storms may fire and attach themselves to this boundary. Could be a problem for eastern AR into KY/TN/MS. #ARwx #KYwx #TNwx #MSwx

Similar idea with an EMP pulse set off by a high-altitude nuclear explosion. "One Second After" by Forstchen covered this scenario and, ironically, took place in Black Mountain/Swannanoa area of NC. Some of scenes in this book were later brought to life by Helene :\

This is the *first time ever* that SPC highlighted an area of at least a significant hail on the West Coast... and it's for Oregon and Washington of all places. #ORwx #WAwx
March 25, 2025 at 6:01 PM
As mentioned... Helene led to 34 flash flood emergencies. Most of them were for western North Carolina. Here's the map that NHC included for FFEs issued, shaded in lime green. #NCwx

Ditto NHC official tracks. One of better hurricane forecasts I ever seen. Impressive work. #Helene
March 19, 2025 at 10:05 PM
NHC's 7-day Tropical Weather Outlook had 100% success rate for #Helene. Impressive.

That river gauge was near one of more iconic images of #Helene... the destruction of I-26 bridge in Erwin, #TNwx.
March 19, 2025 at 10:01 PM
This one... holy crap. Nolichucky River's water level rose almost 25 feet at Embreeville site in a matter of hours. #TNwx
March 19, 2025 at 9:58 PM
This river gauge is near UNC Asheville and River Arts District (RAD). I know the spot and got a lot of good memories around there. Sadly, the RAD was devastated and the flood nearly reached UNC Asheville's south entrance where I used to park my car during my college years. Insane. #NCwx

Peak flood stage of Swannanoa River at Biltmore Village was nearly 7 feet above 1916 Flood record level (!!!). Simply staggering in modern times. Some of my Asheville friends knew of people dying near that area :\ #NCwx

Papin's synoptic plots are always so brilliant. Great work on that one.

As someone who went to college in western North Carolina... seeing this map really hit me pretty good :\ #NCwx

Can clearly see the debris fallout from the first Tylertown area tornado. Second Tylertown area tornado is about to overlap the damage path from the first tornado, too. #MSwx
