Yeah, this surprised me as well. I mean, this particular "award" show has always been sketchy as hell so I shouldn't be surprised, but Yotei missing seems like an obvious oversight to me. Yotei is a masterpiece.

Floor crossing is a bit much. I'd expect them to sit as independents, or perhaps create a new party. Quite frankly, I think it's far past time Canada had a proper, progressive conservative party that was more aligned with where Canadians are politically considering what the CPC has become.

The Liberals are a centrist party and a PC MP would be much more at home in the Liberal party then with the CPC and PP's "maple maga" approach to politics. If the Liberal party suddenly swerved hard left, like the CPC's have done to the right, I would expect their MP's to jump ship as well.

I would too, but let's face facts. Any progressive conservatives that were left should have bailed years ago. There was a movement to "take back our party" by progressives that sputtered out but there's never been a more clear sign it's never going to be a "progressive" party again.

This Trump-like nonsense doesn't fly here. Certainly if there were any progressive conservatives left in the party, this would be their signal to cross the floor. He's not going to change course, and his Calgary base isn't going to oust him in Jan.

Certainly if there was somehow any progressive conservatives left in the party, this would be their signal to cross the floor. PP isn't backing away from his Trump-like style, and the reform nutters in Calgary aren't going to get rid of him in Jan. The CPC won't ever form gov with him at the helm.

On a side note, blood curdling is something you can get treated at a Medicenter for free in Canada. ;)

As a Canadian, our system is far from perfect but I couldn't imagine life without it. The stories we hear from the US are blood curdling. I wish you all the best in your fight for the human right to universal medical care.
