Pottery trying to have some fun making pots and not going crazy carving porcelain!!!
Here’s another very thin very translucent porcelain sgraffito cup. I love the magic and beauty of porcelain but don’t love all the not so fun things about porcelain #porcelain #pottery #ceramics #cardinal #contemporaryart #contemporarypottery #translucent

I love the Alien movies, this is my drawing of a venomorph, this cup was from a few years ago for a buddy. I might have to do another on of these, this was a blast to carve. #pottery #ceramics #porcelain #alien #contemporaryart #contemporaryporcelain #celadon

Here’s another cup that I absolutely love and wish I had never sold. This style of sgraffito cup takes so long but when they turn out they are beautiful, #ceramics #pottery #porcelain #contemporaryart #celadon #jackelope #translucent #translucentporcelain

One of my all time favorite cups, I love the celadon glaze on this cup, it highlights the carving perfectly. This is one of those pieces that you wish you never sold but it went to a great home #pottery #ceramics #porcelain #celadon #translucent #succulent #contemporaryart #contemporaryporcelain

Brand new vase. This is a sectional vase, the bottom is made with Laguna B mix stoneware and the top is Aardvark Coleman porcelain. I’m playing with the idea of sections, contemporary materials versus traditional materials. Stoneware v porcelain, underglaze v celadon glaze. Amaco LUG Black 1 cone 10

Playing around with more sgraffito designs and patterning. These have been a lot of fun, l'm liking this direction, it's letting me explore more ideas through my printmaking styles. #ceramics #pottery #porcelain

This is a porcelain jar with a fine line succulent carving. It is glazed with my base celadon glaze but the colorant is iron saturate rocks I’ve found in the west desert of Utah, crushed up and added to my glaze. I love the richness of your glaze a color, part of rock epoxy on for knob.

One thing I love doing when I’m out on a walk about or a hike finding and picking up rocks, maybe it the kid in me but I love it. I have a pile of rocks laying around. I recently decided to crush up some of those rocks and add them to my porcelain to add some texture and in glazes. From west desert.

I love printmaking. It feels like an extension of pottery in some ways. It allows me to draw without spending hours carving plus I get you wear the designs after!!!

Fired this piece on my buddies ranch in his giant burn out pile, then I threw it on this old tractor for a quick photo op.

A glimpse into a not so distant dystopian future where we are searching for resources in the desert. Found this old abandoned gas pump and had to snag a pic.

One thing I love doing is going out into nature, hiking around and taking pictures of cups that I bring along for the journey. This cup has seen a lot of things in its day, you will get to know this cup and its adventures.
