Only thanks to a maddening amount of research and plotting with somewhat forensic precision beforehand. I always overwrite on the first draft, though. And I do love a good vomit-drafting still.

Agreed. The Cafè track alone is some pure, undiluted nightmare fuel, and it marries so well with Exley at the Nite Owl massacre. Full body chills.
