Investigating Mamoru Oshii’s works after seeing Ghost in the Shell, Patlabor, Sky Crawlers, Urusei Yatsura, even Angel’s Egg, I saw an OVA I’d never heard of called Gosenzo-sama Banbanzai! (and its compilation film Maroko). It's brilliant (though not for everyone). Still no HD release.
