the hood is for aura farming or smth like that

so I dunno what's in store moving forward, I doubt I'd stop drawing Helena completely any time soon, since I still very much love her. but I'm not sure that's really the best decision I can make for myself. on the off chance this is seen, thx for sticking through the ramblings of a conflicted artist

when I first dropped azur around 1st anni it was because I thought, I don't rlly care about most of the characters in this game, why bother. I did end up picking it back up, and finding more to love in a few of the girls, but at the end of the day that same sentiment is still very much there...

overall, I definitely understand the general sentiment and discontent with fanservice that azur has trended towards. while it's nice to see Helena content, I don't think we'll ever get a new skin that tops those by realmbw, her og artist. it's just a time long gone, and that's the reality

the onsen skin is definitely not fitting for this. I'm unsure if I'll end up drawing it, as it's still Helena and I love Helena. but I will prioritize what I wanted to depict for her over chasing the new thing. I can't draw for another week, so time is gonna be tight for this launch day piece lol

Helena's launch day is coming up. I already had plans for what I wanted to draw already, something that hopefully can be a callback to the fact that they're shipgirls. the ship part is oft forgotten, I'm guilty of this too. but that is what I wanted to try and depict this year
