I took on a little bit of a challenge to design a sort of steampunk cyborg AU for @lunabatvt.bsky.social ! As someone who has not only never drawn mechanical things or anthro models, I am learning SO much!

A work in progress model design for VTuber Luna Bat. The legs are symmetrical with golden thighs that have intricate markings similar to sun motifs. There is a section of tan material below the golden thighs. Above the tan section are the kneecaps, which have a bat wing on the outer edge and are also colored golden. For the upper shin, the metal is more cream colored. A vibrant, almost neon green tub stems from the bottom edge of the kneecap to the bottom corner of the cream colored shin. The lower shin is another golden piece with the same intricate markings. The feet and toes are the tan color, with all four claws being more grey. On either side of the food are two dark brown circles, looking like a standard ankle bone. The hip connector is that same brown coloring, with a tan underneath. In the center of the stomach is a bat signal. Above that, around where the belly button typically sits, is a vibrant green oval with green tubes wrapping around the waist like a belt. Her left arm is made up of the same metals, with the shoulder piece being golden with the sun motif like markings. The upper arm is tan, and the lower arm is cream with a dark brown line down the center. The palm of the hand is tan and the fingers are golden. This arm can shift and turn into a bat wing, as seen on her right side. Her right arm is in the form of a bat wing, with the shoulder being identical to the left arm's. Her tan upper arm is shortened within itself, and the lower arm has extended, using the dark brown bar through the center to stabilize. The fingers elongate and make up the "fingers" of a bat wing. The index finger folds into the forearm, the thumb becomes the claw atop the wing, and the remaining fingers become the boning for the wing. A transparent purple membrane spans between each finger and from the claw to the shoulder to complete the wing. Her fur is purple and her eyes are green. (I ran out of characters 😭)

I decided to keep Twilight's pre-princess design simple as she didn't care about anything other than books and studies before she moved to Ponyville. I did add a bracelet with Shining Armor's shield on it though 🤍

A redesign of one of the main characters in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic named Twilight Sparkle. She is a lilac purple unicorn with Shining light grey, almost white hooves. She has a traditional unicorn tail in that it's more similar to a lion's tail than the modern day horses. Her main is up in a pony tail with straight bangs in the front around her unicorn horn. On her horn are magical swirls instead of simple lines from the right to left of the horn. Her hair is a blueish purple with a streak of red to yellow down the middle of her mane and tail. Her tail is straight with a slight wave throughout and a singular curl at the end. She is wearing rose gold glasses and a rose gold bracelet with a purple and pink shield , representing the shield of her brother in the royal guard. Her eyes are a deep real with yellow highlights to resemble her parents eye color. Her cutie mark is a pink 6-pointed star with six other 6-pointed stars surrounding it.
