I think he’s genuinely looking to lead NYC. He doesn’t want to be the leader of the Democrats, just an example of DSA success. I know this requires working with national level politicians but the morass of the DNC and their internal power struggles is a huge and unnecessary distraction.

The only thing that would be fixed by privatization would be a lack of pay during government shutdowns. Something Congress totally has the power to change if I’m not mistaken
