I used to to until I got to the other side of it with the skills. Maybe this isn't universal but I think ideas for a medium are limited by skill with it, so it's impossible to waste an idea. The new ideas spawned by improved skills from trying less skilled ideas will always be better.

There was a video where one of those archery youtubers showed himself using one to demonstrate the same concept, but it works way better with a fluffy wolf.
