I think it’s because far too many of them are old and stick to some out-of-fashion, misguided view that there’s still decorum to be maintained, while the republicans don’t give a damn what they say to anyone, anywhere.

I’ve lived in Kentucky for about 21 years now and I’ve never understood why they vote against their own best interests. I suppose this happens everywhere, but Kentucky excels at electing terrible people.
