Well nothing in particular, but just insinuating that the benefit of the state is subjective, and the people with power get to choose what that is => military for the "benefit of the state" isn't necessarily very wholesome

That's really disheartening. Must either be an online political spheres kinda thing or a really us politics thing (or both), because I haven't really seen this myself, but saw someone else saying the same thing.

That really sucks if it's true. I haven't personally really seen tankie used improperly before, but also I'm not really in political circles anyway and have not seen the word in maybd years, so I'll take your word for it.

Isn't the point of vanguardism that you have a centralized powerful military for the "benefit of the state"? Maybe I'm totally off here, but if so, it sounds pretty fascistic to me

It would still, from the perspective of someone genuinely willing to learn, be nice to not face immediate harrassment when asking a serious question which people immediate assume the worst about.

To continue, I'm still genuinely confused, is Stalinism and Maoism not essentially Fascist? And Vanguardism overall.

I'm.. not whining? And Stalinists and Maoists definitely exist, they're just (thank god) pretty rare.

Well as I said elsewhere, I should have said fascist leftists, as authoritarianism and communism and self-exclusive, but yes I know it's still a polar opposite of Nazis. That's why I've used the word "tankie" of them in the past, to make a distinction while still recognizing the fascism.

So.. I can't call leftist fascists nazis, and I can't call them tankies. What should I call them then? I'm genuinely asking here, and I really don't understand why everyone is so aggressive lol

I haven't spoken of or seen anyone speak of tankies for maybe years, I literally don't know what you're talking about. I was just confused to why we're suddenly against having a word for a group of fascists.

Well I did almost say Leftists instead, and specifically the Economic Left, but I feel like communism is too often attributed to the same thing so I oversimplified.

I mean it's nice to have word that's more generic than "stalinist" or "maoist". Sure you could call them Nazis, but I feel like it's better to have a dististinction still from those as well, since they wouldn't get along with actual nazis either.
