Seems like such a non problem even with "in universe"continuity. To honour the old bond every 007 going forth will have the code name James Bond. Spend half the movie as the character just "Bonding" around and keep the intrigue of the background of who would sign up for it.

That was a hauntingly beautiful take on what we give to those who find a way past our defenses.
