I’ve set up a plane alert tracker for flights into Latin America- specially tracking govt., military, and these kind of ICE / DHS contractors. See @abovelatinamerica.bsky.social

As for tracking, definitely use globe.adsbexchange.com over FlightAware as ADSBX doesn’t filter and has great coverage
ADS-B Exchange - track aircraft live
ADS-B Exchange - track aircraft live - aircraft flight history

Yaml was supposed to be human readable, but the inability for humans to be consistent with indentations was never taken into account. Beginners still can't read YAML, definitely make tons of indentation errors. Experts can easily handle something that is less finicky, like JSON

(a bit broader than the topic of the GTMO tracker -- here's a list of BSky accounts that track "interesting" flights globally, using #Plane-Alert database mentioned above: bsky.app/profile/did:...)

US registered non-military aircraft (I.e., those with a N tail number) have their owners searchable in the FAA database. They’re often obscure LLCs. Why a bit of sleuthing, a pattern can be detected.

A bunch of us maintain a database that we use with #plane-alert, here: github.com/sdr-enthusia...
GitHub - sdr-enthusiasts/plane-alert-db: A list of interesting aircraft - Governments, Dictators, Military, Historic and just plain odd.
