Overcoming Agoraphobia one terrifying day at a time
🏳️‍⚧️🍉
I tell people all the time not to loan me their phones or computers because I've got a forcefield that fucks with technology. Today I took out the gas station's system the moment I made physical contact with it. The man working was baffled & my wife said "Blame her, she's got a magnet in her head."

This picture says everything about the state of our nation right now, peaceful clergy being arrested and forced face-down on the pavement.

I worked my first in-person shift today in nearly three years. I've been struggling with agoraphobia, and I'm finally feeling confident and safe enough to work in person again. The universe lined up and I was offered a position that feels custom made for me. I'm filled with gratitude right now.

We may not have won the WS, but I love my Blue Jays so so much. We had an incredible season and have many reasons to be happy and proud today. Including but not limited to:
Ernie's sassy slutty little slide moment.

Current embroidery project, a cute little gift for a dear friend. My new needle minder is the cutest thing in the world.

For the first time in a couple of years I have a job opportunity in the industry I love, with people I trust, in a neighborhood that's safe for my anxiety. 2026 we overcome the agoraphobia!!

La Zavaleta shouting "You're about to look RIDICULOUS!" Followed by footage of her storming out and hugging a tree is peak television @bbdragula.bsky.social

I've finally named my guppies and would like to share:
First up we have Neptune, he's definitely the "prettiest" and likely the gentleman my partner will use in her breeding lines.
I love his rainbowy-pink iridescent scales, and his unique tail pattern

The polite size of the sake cup helps us to enjoy the drink.

Sooooooo any updates on the people that quit their jobs and sold their homes/cars/personal belongings for yesterday's rapture? Did they ascend? Are we free of them? Or are they now all without homes/cars/personal belongings/jobs? I'm so curious!

I spent the first half of my birthday at the Toronto Pet Expo, and the second half adventuring to my cottage with my loves for AN ENTIRE WEEK. I am having the best day

When my great aunt passed away I acquired many little trinkets, one of which was a tiny old Gillette razor holder. I recently discovered it is perfect for my thread wax and I get to use something that reminds me of her every day

Yesterday was a bust, rain and exhaustion kept me inside. But today I rode an electric bike from the park to a nearby plaza for the first time! Glad I've got a partner that encourages me to join her on little adventures

I've managed to go out 5 days in a row. Some outings were short and no further than the park, and last night my outing took me to the Jays game with my family. I'm feeling so proud of myself 💪

We’re going to go on a rant for a minute, and yes we’re bringing some history with us. Back in 1755, Benjamin Franklin wrote words that still echo today: “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”

Spent time in a river with my partner and some ducks today. Spending time in nature is so healing. I need to get away from city living ASAP

Grief anniversary got you feeling blue?
Embrace the blue. BECOME THE BLUE.

Sometimes "busy hands quiet mind" can only go so far and we've gotta set stuff down and deal with what's getting to us.

And by "deal with" I mean have a smoking/venting session with your amazing partner and get the support you're needing

I'm both proud of and furious with myself over this one. Proud of my dedication, furious with my over ambitious ways

Grief and mourning popping up around event anniversaries is weird on its own, but having it happen while hopped up on dental surgery meds adds a whole new layer of strange

Pain med time loops and such
