At 50fps, a 100km/h ball travels 55cm between frames, +/- bat movement, +/- the unknown synchronisation error.
UltraEdge uses Hawkeye's 320fps cameras to reduce the synchronisation error, but as far as I know, the TV umpire still views the 50fps TV feed.
So still a gap, but slightly less guessing.

Snicko does not assume anything. The TV umpire makes a decision based on all the information available. Smith was given not out despite RTS showing a noise because it wasn't conclusive whether the ball hit glove or helmet.

That's how they do it in Kirikiti (Samoan cricket).

That was out every day of the week when I was growing up.
It seems to be a temporary advertising board so if it wasn't there the fielder may have gone over the boundary. But as it was, he didn't and therefore it's out.

It's a planned Metro Tunnel related outage ending today. The details of it were on the back of the leaflet for last week's SRL outage. I've not seen any details anywhere else (there's none on the Big Build Metro Tunnel page despite what the leaflet says).

According to the leaflet I picked up at the station, they're "underpinning the existing elevated rail line ... before the SRL East tunnels are built below".

I'm sure it's no coincidence that the new Skybus from Sunshine to the Airport is due to start on 9 November, ensuring Dandenong line passengers don't need to change trains to to Southern Cross to get to the Airport.
