23 USA states are either in or facing recession, so Trump is proving Regan correct. 👍

Reagan & Mulroney are the reason we have free trade.

I am guessing that Trump thought that Carney would be in back to back emergency meetings figuring out how to bend the knee to Trump and beg him to get back to trade negotiations. Instead Carney is off to a trade summit in Asia and planning a trip to China.

Regan was passionate about Canada USA free trade which led to NAFTA. Trump does not want free or fair trade with Canada. Stop wasting tax dollars as well as LeBlanc and his team - send them to Asia, Europe, Africa and South America to make lasting concrete trade alliances. Diversify and invest in 🇨🇦

People forget how passionate Regan was about free trade between Canada and USA and his role in NAFTA.

For anyone who forgets how passionate Regan was for free trade between our two countries. This excerpt is from the Georgetown law library.

When you travel to a foreign country you need to abide by their rules and regulations. USA is a foreign country. Neighbour by geography only. If they encounter any issues while visiting the USA, the Canadian government has made it clear that they can't help. Their choice to go.

Thanks for sharing. She seems to leave out the project 2025 playbook that is being implemented, mass deportations, turning the military on citizens, a crumbling economy which is leading the global economy into a reset/recession, etc. Also Trump and Melania's relationships with Putin.

In the last election CPC got 41% of the votes - all the other parties are left or center left. So 59% of the Canadian population is left. We are the majority that vote for multiple left of center parties. CPC should split into Reform and Progressive Conservatives to better represent the right.

Tod Maffin on B-Sky, IG & FB is helping medical professionals to navigate the system and find work in Canada. I personally prefer the west and east coasts, but loads of opportunities here in Canada - come for a visit. 1 in 4 health care workers in Canada are immigrants. You would be most welcome. ❤️🇨🇦

My daughters dumped Spotify this past summer. Filled their mp3 players from middle school with music and are not planning on going back. Their friends are doing the same. Maybe this will be a new trend.

Canada is definitely drawing in research scientists as well particularly in tech as is Europe and Asia. Hopefully you can find some employment and/or opportunities here in Canada or elsewhere if you are wanting to leave. Good luck. ❤️

Wind energy in Nova Scotia, but the media doesn't cover it. novascotia.ca/offshore-win....
Offshore wind
Offshore wind can help replace fossil fuels, create good-paying jobs, and unlock the potential of Nova Scotia’s green economy. It’s a source of clean energy

While the Canadian media is fixated on Alberta pipelines and separation, there are other projects in clean energy moving forward such as wind energy in Nova Scotia. Perhaps the media can be less fixated on Alberta, Quebec and Ontario and cover other provinces as well.

Canada is actively recruiting health care workers from USA if that applies to you as well as jobs in other industries. If you are interested then look for employment in Canada.

Coming in as a refugee will be hard however there are positions in the health care sector that many Americans are being approved for on working visas as well as jobs in tech. Look for opportunities here in Canada.

That sucks. It's really hard with all the foreign student numbers down and subsequent cut backs. Are you applying to all the universities across Canada or do you need to stay in one area. Maybe Europe? Asia? My kid moved across Canada for a position. Good luck to you in your job search.

There is a large wind project in Nova Scotia that is tier 2 and research beginning into tidal energy. Media only reports on Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. Rest of the provinces and territories don't matter.

Free trade with the USA is over. Canada's GDP per capita was higher before NAFTA. We are diversifying and separating. About 70% of Canadians are still boycotting USA. ❤️🇨🇦

India's main economic alliances are within BRICS but all BRICS nations trade freely globally. Here in Canada we are boycotting 🇺🇲 and diversifying trade. We will always trade with 🇺🇲 due to location but are expanding and deepening reliable trade partners. It is the world restructuring.

Was a smart and strategic move for India to join BRICS. It's the rise of the global south as USA gives up its global leadership role.
September 5, 2025 at 10:51 PM
China joined BRICS in 2009 (not a recent development). BRICS is 11 countries and over 50% of the global population. BRICS is a powerful trade alliance. What benefit is it for India to leave BRICS?

Both of my daughters are nerds who enjoy granny hobbies. The books, comics, Lego, robots, yarn, needlepoint etc that fill up our house can be overwhelming and when overwhelmed my kids look at me blank faced and say - "could be worse we could be drug addicts" 😳
September 5, 2025 at 2:46 PM
They are all a part of BRICS - Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. BRICS was formed in 2009 and is now 11 countries with more than 50% of the global population. Trump has just given them an opportunity to take a larger leadership role.
