Yeah he's got a very mythologized version of himself as some kind of latter-day messiah. I still enjoy some albums but there's so much good new music that I don't really need to keep going back for the same?

Yeah as someone who loved Nick Cave, the problematic stuff eventually overcomes the desire to listen to it anymore (not just the slurs, but the pro-Israel stuff too). Just like Morrissey, and other fandoms.
