Here is a mini demonstration: Kinky Kawaii's vocals have strange artifacts that are especially hearable when it's pitched down, whilst Messages from the Stars, a song from 1983 has no such discrepancies. Real vocals could only sound like Kawaii's if they have been isolated by a stem separator.
