I'm an ethnomusicologist, interested in the traditional music of the Philippines, especially the traditional boat lutes (kutiyapi, kuglung, hegelung, faglung, etc.), which are found among all the tribal groups of Mindanao and Palawan, Philippines.

Well, it doesn't look like a kutiyapì, but like a kuglung of the Manobo without the head, though...

It's only that the instrument on the painting does not look like a "kudyapì" but may be like a faglung of the Blaan or something similar.

Recently, I visited Bunawan, which is part of the Agusan wetlands. I walked on parts of this swampy area, which was an interesting experience, including leeches and mosquitoes, of course… :-)
