hate, division, and blocking every attempt at gun reform while excusing violence when it suited his politics. That’s why many people can condemn what happened without pretending he was innocent. Actions and rhetoric have consequences, and we can’t separate this moment from the culture he helped

Yes, people can have opinions. And I can have the opinion that theirs is hilariously overwrought. If someone frames smart glasses like they’re a civil rights issue, they shouldn’t be surprised when people respond like it’s a comedy set.
