Trump only counts goods, and not services, in trade deficits. In 2023, the US had a goods trade deficit of $161.6 billion with the EU, while simultaneously having a services trade surplus of $104 billion, resulting in an overall trade deficit of $54 billion. @mcuban.bsky.social
