Now that I think about it, I knew enough to buy a King Tubby "Best of" CD, Lee "Scratch" Perry's Arkology box set, and a couple of Mad Professor CDs (including his remix of Massive Attack's "Protection"). Huh, I blanked on a whole era of my listening history.

Losing Rob Reiner was going to be a tragedy no matter how it happened. But it's so, so much worse than I'd thought possible.

My little Americana/country rock band -- circa 1994/1995 -- played the "Pusherman" goove during member introductions. I remember being worried that someone would figure it out, because it probably wasn't a good look. But what a song...
