The most recent episode of Bleach might be the best directed single episode of any anime I've ever seen. Just an absolute masterclass in how to layer flashbacks and cross-cutting to more effectively tell a story. And then to end it on one of the sickest title cards ever? Masterful. 11/10

Clearly Fumito Ueda is a big Gurren Lagann fan because this looks suspiciously like a Gurren Lagann game about the first war with the Anti-Spirals.
ngl, even as a huge fan of the movies (a huge early influence on my academic interests), I had very little interest in this game. Invoking Dishonored has now put this on my wishlist.
I think Indiana Jones might be my game of the year.
