this isn't me stomping my foot and calling people racist for shipping minimegs because there's a inherent size difference between these two robots. i just think people should at least hear perspectives beyond their own and internalize them to make fandom better for everyone.

the in-universe racism allegory functionism, despite my praises for how well it represents systematic oppression and erasure, has the unintended side effect of leaving SOME (but not all) allegorical minorities vulnerable to iffy stereotypes.

fandom has a lot of issues with overmasculinizing black characters, but idw transformers' commentary on racism and religious bigotry will sometimes paradoxically make certain pairings *appear* to fall into common antiblack fandom tropes on a surface level despite that not being the case.

being queer and marginalized does not absolve you of your harm. those who were hurt by floraverse were almost all queer in some way.
being queer does not mean you can't be hurtful or cruel. it means you're more susceptible to being hurt. just like the victims, who were susceptible to being groomed.

i hope justice is served for not only me, but the many queer victims of floraverse and victims of harassment from the cult. those branded as nazis and transphobic, despite being queer and often times trans women. i hope victims one day get to safely voice their stories.
