On a minor note... Idk where else to put it, but the blood change in is region versions (that I changed to a bucnh so I could read dialogue as I was playing)... Pretty wack

As said, some of the stuff in this game makes me hesitant to check it outside funsies with pals and arcade mode.. But tbf-

Overall is certainly a strength of the game, speaially for its time. Goes without saying, but this game also great spritework, specially when it comes to adapting moments from the manga. And stuff like N.Doul stage is a pretty fun thing in arcade mode (secret death 13 boss boring tho, unfortunately)

A lot of part 3 more. Like Devo was kinda a generic villain in part 3, and while he kinda is still in some ways here, he gains interest as a one of the first puppet characters. Rubber Soul is also better, as his creepy weirdness feels more funny which i prefer. Also he pretty fun to play. Midler too

-Hol Horse so hard lmao. But to get back on positives, I did actually really liked how Hol Horse played, its mix of setups with glass shot, hangman, and slow bullet are pretty fun to mess around with, and they look awesome lol. His ending being pretty cool too. In general, this game made me like

-on her power, being a pretty solid zoner. I like her design ll, even if a lot of in game portraits seemingly being based from Yukako from part 4 lol. I do appreciate the Chariot Requiem super as btw, on a somewhat related note. Practical? No lol, but stuff like it and time stop supers I see

How the moments were adapted, and how the abilities shown in the manga were expanded on for a fighter, particularly more unorthodox ones like Allessi, Mariah and Iggy. Midler in particular I really respect, giving her a whole design after having 1 small in the manga, and doing a pretty natural take-

I really like him being genuinely good hearted, despite his fucked up past, that kinda catched back to him more in strive, while still remaining his good self at his core. His wacky shenanigans is also a great contrast to it lmao (1/2)
